Disaster recovery grants are now available to small and family businesses in 16 local government areas that were impacted by ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
These grants will fund up to $25,000 for clean-up and return to operation costs, including:
- debris removal
- replacing damaged equipment
- building repairs
- safety inspections
- restocking and replanting
Grants of up to $10,000 are available to rural landholders or lessees of at least 10 hectares who sustained direct damage but are not eligible for other Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) primary producer assistance.
Eligible small and family businesses, non-profit organisations and primary producers can also apply for:
- Disaster Assistance Loans – Up to $250,000 to support essential recovery efforts
- Essential Working Capital Loans – Up to $100,000 to assist with immediate operational costs, including wages, rent, and creditor payments
