Helping Queensland Graziers Rebuild

Queensland graziers affected by the Western Queensland floods (March – May 2025) can now access significant financial support through the Exclusion Fencing Recovery Grants, offering up to $500,000 per eligible applicant.

This initiative, jointly funded by the Albanese and Crisafulli Governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements, is designed to help primary producers repair or replace exclusion fencing.

Key features:

• Grants of up to $500,000 per applicant
• 10% upfront payment (capped at $50,000) to assist with immediate costs
• Full reimbursement of eligible fencing repair expenses
• Retrospective claims allowed for completed work
• Available to graziers in the following local government areas:

  3. Barcoo Shire Council
  4. Blackall Tambo Regional Council
  5. Boulia Shire Council
  6. Bulloo Shire Council
  7. Diamantina Shire Council
  8. Longreach Regional Council

  10. Paroo Shire Council
  11. Quilpie Shire Council
  12. Winton Shire Council

This funding allows graziers to begin repairs immediately with upfront support, while ensuring full reimbursement for eligible costs. The inclusion of retrospective claims also supports those who acted quickly following the floods.
