Following severe flooding across Far North Queensland, multiple disaster relief packages have been made available to affected residents and businesses.
Small Business Support
Small Business Disaster Recovery Grants of up to $25,000 are available through the Queensland Rural and Industry Development Authority. These grants remain open until funding is exhausted or until June 30, 2025.
Additional assistance includes low-interest reconstruction loans and freight subsidies for primary producers, with varying application timeframes.

Individual Support
The Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment provides one-off payments of $1,000 per adult and $400 per child for those seriously affected. Applications close six months after activation.
Queensland’s Personal Hardship Assistance Scheme offers immediate grants up to $900 for families and $450 for individuals for essential needs. Applications must be submitted within 7 days of activation.
