The Queensland Government’s Play On! Sports Voucher Program is back, offering families across the state an opportunity to support their children’s participation in sport and recreational activities. With vouchers valued up to $200 per child, this initiative is designed to reduce financial barriers and encourage active lifestyles for young Queenslanders aged 5 to 17 years.

What Is the Play On! Grant?

Children of all abilities and backgrounds can use the Play On! voucher to cover membership, registration, or participation fees with registered activity providers. Whether your child is joining a local footy team, taking dance classes, or signing up for pony club, this grant helps make it more affordable.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be Queensland residents
  • Have children aged 5 – 17 years
  • Hold a current Medicare card

Families with a Health Care Card (HCC) or Pensioner Concession Card (PCC) may also be eligible for additional support.

Play On! Reaches the Bush

Importantly, the Play On! program includes a dedicated allocation for regional and country communities, ensuring that children in towns like Longreach, Charleville, and Roma have the same access to sport as those in the Brisbane region.

If your local club isn’t yet registered to accept Play On! vouchers, you can encourage them to sign up. This helps expand access in rural areas and ensures more children can benefit from the program.
