We are proud to announce the opening of our new office in Longreach, a location that holds special significance in the history of our firm. More than just a new office, this is a homecoming to where it all began.

More than 40 years ago, Wehl Palethorpe & Watson acquired an office in Longreach and appointed a young accountant in his twenties to manage it. That accountant was none other than our now-retired Director, Greg Kelly. To ensure the firm could continue servicing clients across remote regions while maintaining strong connections with Brisbane, Wehl Palethorpe & Watson invested in a Cessna 206 aircraft (pictured below), enabling staff to travel regularly between locations.

While we won’t be arriving by private plane this time, our commitment to going the extra mile for our clients remains unchanged; only the mode of transport has evolved.

Our connection with the Central West has never faded. To this day, we remain trusted advisers to many individuals, families, businesses and primary producers throughout the region. Western Queensland is woven into the fabric of our firm’s history, with several of our Directors having grown up or spent their formative years in the area.

The firm has undergone many changes over the past four decades, but one thing has remained constant: our commitment to delivering exceptional service and value through genuine relationships built on country values.

You can find our new office at 41 Duck Street, Longreach QLD 4730. The office is shared with Seasoned Finance and, while not permanently staffed by Hall Chadwick QLD, Directors Rob Sendall, John Sloman and Dugald Warby will be visiting regularly to meet with clients and support the local community.

We look forward to strengthening our long-standing ties with the Central West and continuing to support our clients throughout the region for many years to come.
