The training is ramping up for the RideWest 2022 charity bike ride from Brisbane to Longreach, and so are the fundraising efforts. The 1311km charity bike ride raises funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) to help improve regional access to mental health support through the RFDS ‘Wellbeing Out West’ Program.
We are proud to have had eleven Hall Chadwick QLD participants in this gruelling ride and have been Gold Sponsors since 2016. This year we’re cheering on Directors Rob Sendall (ride captain), John Sloman, Andrew Perkins, Greg Kelly and Toby Winten, with Dugald Warby in the support vehicle.
This month has seen two successful fundraising events with The Long Lunch held at Emporium Hotel, South Brisbane and this year for the first time a second Long Lunch held in Toowoomba. The Toowoomba event was organised by riders Paul and Brian Collins, attracting over 250 guests to a lunch held at St Saviours College.
The ride departs on the 22nd April with riders traversing West through several regional towns before arriving in Longreach on the 29th April.
