Small businesses in Western Queensland affected by the March – May 2025 surface trough and associated flooding can now access up to $50,000 in disaster recovery support (note: primary producers affected by this weather event can access up to $75,000).
The Queensland Government has announced an update to the Exceptional Disaster Assistance Recovery Grant, increasing the maximum available funding from $25,000 to $50,000 for small businesses. This grant is designed to help small businesses recover from direct damage caused by the disaster and resume operations.
What’s covered?
Eligible small businesses can use the grant to cover a wide range of recovery-related expenses, including:
- Clean-up and removal of debris
- Repairs to damaged infrastructure, equipment, and stock
- Safety inspections and urgent restoration work
- Replacement of essential business materials
