Director ID Update, Resigned Directors Required to Register


The 30 November 2022 deadline for Directors IDs is quickly approaching.

Our previous articles have detailed the requirements for the Directors ID regime, however the ATO has recently confirmed that directors who were appointed as Directors on or before 31 October 2021 are also required to register for a Directors ID, regardless of whether they have since resigned as a Director and do not intend to ever be appointed as a Director again.

If you are unsure if you require a Directors ID, please contact your Hall Chadwick QLD advisor as soon as possible, as significant penalties (up to $1.1m) may apply for failing to meet the Directors ID registration requirements (i.e. by 30 November 2022).
